Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: 10/14/2026

1. Our Commitment

ResQ Bites Corp. is committed to making our food-rescue marketplace accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by accessibility legislation in both Canada and the United States.

2. Measures We Have Taken

  • Responsive design that adapts to phones, tablets, and desktops, and supports operating-system text resizing and zoom.
  • Keyboard navigation for all core flows, including browsing meals, placing orders, and account management.
  • Colour palettes selected to meet minimum contrast ratios for text and interface elements.
  • Semantic page structure, headings, and descriptive labels to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
  • Visible focus indicators and touch targets sized for users with motor disabilities.
  • Reduced dependence on colour alone to convey important information such as order status.

3. Known Limitations

  • Third-party components we rely on, such as interactive maps and the payment checkout, may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. We raise issues with those providers as they are identified.
  • Some older content or new features may not yet fully conform while we work toward our WCAG 2.1 AA target.

4. Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Platform. If you encounter a barrier or have suggestions, contact us through the Platform's support chat or email. Please describe the issue and the page or feature involved so we can respond effectively.

5. Formal Complaints & Enforcement

In Canada, the Accessible Canada Act and provincial legislation such as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) set accessibility requirements. In the United States, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act apply. If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may file a complaint with the applicable authority in your jurisdiction.

6. Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. We review new features for accessibility before release and periodically audit existing pages, and we prioritize fixes that affect the largest number of users.
